Dan grew up in the Galt area and attended Galt Elementary School and graduated from Galt High School in 1975. He received his BA in history from California State University, Sacramento. Dan joined the Galt Area Historical Society in 2016 and has since become the Historian, Archivist, and is now the Curator for the Rae House Museum.
